54 Unique Streetwear Brand Name Ideas + How to Create Your Own

Looking for a streetwear brand name? Explore 54 unique ideas and learn simple naming techniques you can use to create your own.

Coming up with a streetwear brand name can be harder than actually designing the clothes. So I played around with my Business Name Formula to see what kind of streetwear names I could create.

I wanted names that felt slightly underground, rebellious, minimal and like something you could actually imagine printed across a hoodie or embroidered onto a cap.

Here are some of my favourites.

Why these names work for streetwear

Something I noticed while playing around with these is that streetwear names don't always need to describe what you're selling. Actually, some of the strongest ones do the opposite.

Names like NO CTRL, LOST ERA or RARE FORM create a feeling first. They give you enough of a direction to start imagining the clothes, photography, logo, colours and overall world around the brand.

  • Removing letters: UNKNOWN → UNKNWN
  • Using opposites or unexpected words: BLANK STATIC
  • Creating a community feeling: VOIDCLUB
  • Using numbers: DISTRICT3
  • Using phrases: STRANGE WAYS
  • Creating a rebellious feeling: NO CTRL
  • Building around identity: OUTRCAST

Don't just pick a cool-sounding name

A streetwear name can sound amazing, but you still want to ask yourself: can I build a whole brand around this?

Think about how it would look:

  • RARE FORM on the front of a heavyweight tee.
  • AFTRHRS embroidered onto a cap.
  • LOST DIVISION across the back of an oversized hoodie.

That's usually when you start seeing which names have the most potential.
